who know they are meant for more, and are ready to dismantle their perfectionism, regulate their nervous systems, and reclaim true self-sovereignty
The Internal Journey to Agency and Ease

Have you ever felt like a part of you is fully ready to move forward, while another part is actively holding you back?

When your internal system is in conflict daily life can start to feel like an exhausting uphill battle. You might find yourself caught in repetitive loops of self-sabotage, overthinking, or people-pleasing.  Often you know cognitively what you “should” do, but you find yourself stuck between various competing demands and reacting from a state of pressure.

Most coaching is driven by logic and strategy. The trouble is, your conscious mind is often undermined by powerful, conflicting programs from the unconscious.  (Astonishingly, neuroscience shows that the unconscious mind drives 95-99% of our conscious decisions!)

Cognitive strategies may work for a time, but they rely heavily on sheer force of will.  As soon as the conscious mind cannot sustain that intense effort, old behaviours find a way to slip back in.

True transformation requires moving beyond an analytical mindset.

Embodied Life Coaching bridges the gap between your mind and body.  By integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) with deep somatic tracking, we align the unconscious drives of your inner system with your consciously chosen goals.

Instead of fighting limiting habits and beliefs, we safely understand and heal the protective internal “parts” holding them in place. By working directly with these unconscious drivers, you can move beyond stagnant, repetitive patterns and step into a position of genuine personal sovereignty; allowing you to navigate your life, your relationships, and your work with innate calm, clarity, and confidence.
The Problem: The Internal System in Conflict

Sometimes, we can feel energised in our roles but completely exhausted in our souls. This happens because our internal system is operating from a state of underlying conflict.

We all possess an internal dialogue of differing “parts” that act much like an inner committee. These parts took on their responsibilities years ago to keep you safe and to help you succeed. However, because they are often running on differing values and outdated survival strategies, internal friction begins to build. This ongoing disagreement ends up exhausting the very person they are trying to support: You.

Every inner system is completely unique, but there are several common protective roles you might recognise as operating in your own life:
The Perfectionist

(The Architect of All-or-Nothing)

This part deeply believes that if things aren’t done to an exceedingly high standard, you face an unacceptable risk of failure or judgment. Its primary priority is keeping you safe. It sets incredibly high standards as a protective shield against criticism, but it frequently becomes the root driver of your procrastination. If it cannot guarantee absolute brilliance, it decides it is safer not to begin at all.

The Inner Critic

(The Prosecutor)

This part acts as a relentless internal judge, questioning your-Self and others, building a case against every potential move. It highlights perceived flaws and compares your “behind-the-scenes” chaos to everyone else’s polished “highlight reel.” Its goal is to protect you by keeping you small, safe, and quiet so you never risk the pain of external rejection.

The Firefighter

(The Crisis Manager)

This part steps in to save you from overwhelming emotional threats, acting impulsively to stop you from feeling pain.  It will act impulsively and intensely to stop you from feeling pain.  It may lash out in sudden angry outbursts or force you to numb the pain by doom-scrolling, a chocolate addiction or that extra glass of wine to “switch off” the day’s intensity.  It’s efforts can be destructive to you and those around you but it is all toward what it sees as the greater good of your safety.

The Achiever

(The List Maker & Box Ticker)

This part measures your worth solely by your productivity. It is highly task-focused and keeps you constantly moving so you can feel useful and valued. If you aren’t actively accomplishing something, it makes you feel deeply restless or guilty. While it values living life to the fullest, it is also the primary reason you find it impossible to simply rest and relax.

The Future Planner

(The Hyper-Thinker)

This part permanently lives six months in the future. While it is brilliant at strategic planning, it completely prevents you from being present. It is the reason you find yourself checking your phone during your child’s sports day, mentally drafting an upcoming project during dinner, or lying awake at night spinning through a hundred different scenarios to control and contain potential threats.

The Caretaker

(The Harmony Seeker)

This part avoids difficult conversations at all costs, believing that your safety and belonging depend entirely on everyone else being happy. It desperately wants you to be seen as accommodating, and would rather take on extra burdens yourself than risk upsetting someone. While it thrives on affirmation, its protective actions eventually leave your boundaries compromised, your resentment high, and your emotional bandwidth completely drained.

How It Feels When Your Protectors Take the Lead

You are incredibly capable and accomplished, but your body is quietly absorbing the strain. When your protective parts are operating in a state of constant survival, it often feels like:

  • “Wired but tired”: Your body is utterly exhausted, but your mind is racing at 3:00 AM, scanning for threats or mentally plotting next steps.
  • The Physical Brace: A persistent ache in your shoulders, a clenched jaw, or a tight chest; as if you are physically carrying the weight of everyone else’s expectations.
  • Heavy Decision-Making: A state of decision fatigue where even the smallest daily choice feels weighted by an invisible internal burden.
  • The Sense of “Pushing”: Powering through your schedule using sheer willpower, pushing your way through the week instead of flowing with it.
  • The Urge to Withdraw: Feeling so overwhelmed by daily demands that navigating relationships feels unbearable, leading to a deep desire to shut down and hide away.
From Internal Pressure to Embodied Peace
Constant pressure shouldn’t be the price you pay for your success. The chronic tension in your shoulders, the racing mind, and the underlying exhaustion aren’t failures; they are your body’s brilliant way of telling you that your protective parts are working overtime to keep you safe.

But staying safe isn’t the same as truly thriving.

When you consistently power through these somatic warning signs, you quietly erode your own resilience, energy, and joy. True well-being begins when you stop fighting your own nervous system and start leading your life from a calm, anchored, and compassionate core.
The Methodology:
Quiet Strength & Personal Sovereignty
Unlike traditional, talk-based coaching, my approach bridges the gap between mind and body. We don’t just analyze your patterns; we work directly with your subconscious and your nervous system to create lasting, deep-rooted alignment.

Here is how we weave these two powerful modalities together:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Coaching:
IFS recognizes that your mind is made up of different “parts” (like your inner critic or caretaker). Instead of trying to force these parts to change, we approach them with profound compassion. By safely unburdening the protective parts of you that carry the weight of anxiety or people-pleasing, we restore access to your core, authentic Self—the place where your natural calm, clarity, and confidence live.
  • The Somatic & Kinesiology Edge:
Because stress and past conditioning are physically stored in your tissues, you cannot simply talk your way out of old habits. When your body needs it, we combine the internal dialogue of IFS with specialized kinesiology techniques. This allows us to actively release stored physical stress and outdated programming, anchoring your new-found internal alignment directly into your physiology.

The Ultimate Goal: Internal Alignment

The true purpose of this work is to allow your true, aligned, and essential Self to be in the lead.

Instead of navigating your days from a place of reactivity and pressure, you will develop and cultivate a grounded presence anchored naturally in your nervous system.

This is the journey toward personal sovereignty.  It is a state where your boundaries feel effortless, your inner world is in harmony, and you are entirely free to lead your life from an innate place of calm, clarity, and courage.

A Dedicated Space for Change:

Stepping out of a lifetime of reactive pressure doesn’t happen overnight, but it can begin with a single intentional choice. To help you break the cycle of high-functioning exhaustion and anchor into self-led clarity, I work with clients through a dedicated six-session package.

This targeted timeframe allows us to begin the journey toward deep, physiological relief and true personal sovereignty.

Available both in-person and online, this deep-dive container is for the visionary leader that is ready to stop over-giving and start anchoring.  If you are done letting your inner critic run the show, this is your invitation to step out of reactive survival mode and into a deeply aligned, self-led life.

“Ready to lead from a place of peace instead of pressure?”

I have been having sessions with Kate for nearly 2 years now. It is obvious that Kate is very well trained and qualified, and has so many tools in her toolbox she must have spent a lifetime gathering them all together, but most importantly, she applies them from a place of love, understanding and the belief that anything can be changed for the better.

The sessions have been varied, sometimes with additional reading or ‘homework’, but every one has left me feeling positive and more confident about my capabilities and talents. for example, I have struggled with being in meetings at work, with overwhelming feelings of fear and discomfort, so that I couldn’t get my points across. After our session, about 3 weeks later I heard myself in a meeting supporting an important business client through a misunderstanding which had created a lot of difficulties for both sides. I was in full flow explaining the issues and encouraging everyone, moving the discussion on and making sure everyone was heard. I amazed myself that day!

My most recent session was about money. The final frontier! I have very big dreams for my future, which will require substantial investment, not something I could do myself, even if I worked 100 hours a week for the next 20 years! Literally the same day someone stopped in the lane I was in with one of my horses and asked me if I knew anyone who needed a field to rent – this is step 1 in my dream, and I’d been trying for over a year to make this happen and exhausted all avenues. I believe anyone can benefit from a kinesiology session with Kate. Just turn up with an open mind and let the magic happen.
